Im kinda semi retired 2024. Arrived in Thailand alone on May 30, 2024. Only went back to the USA 2 times since.
The weather, the Thai people, food, cost of living, beautiful scenery and atmosphere. Easy to get to surrounding countries.
I just feel like this is my place.
During the pandemic shut down. I was stuck home with a lot of time to think.
Doing the math I could never afford to retire in USA.
Watched some videos of people slow traveling etc. Did the math and thought hmm I can do this now. Sold everything I own. Invested the extra money and flew to Thailand. It was to be my base and first stop have stayed nearly a year so far.
