Product Description:
The dual extruder module for Lerdge board can achieve two-color printing, Please directly insert the module into the motherboard extension interfaces and then restart, the system will identify the double-headed mode according to the components on the module.
Tips:
If you are new for using the dual extruder, we suggest to use 2 in 1 out hotend, (There are also some hotends using 2 in 1 out for dual color switching print). 2 in 2 out has higher requirements in mechanical part, which is more difficult to adjust.
2 in 2 out mode
When the Lerdge motherboard power on with the dual extruder module plugged in, the system can successfully read the effective temperature of the second hotend, and the main UI will first show the second hotend information.
Enter the "Model Settings" -> a specific "model" -> "Advanced Settings" -> "Hotend 2 setting", measure and set up the offset position for Hotend 2 in the X, Y axis and Hotend 1. The positive and negative of the offset are determined by the specific coordinate system of the machine.
Go to "Motor Settings" and "Step Value Settings" to modify the step value of the Hotend 2 extruder motor.
Enter the "Motor setting" "Motor direction setting" to modify the direction of the Hotend 2 extruder motor.
2 in 1 out mode
Go to "Motor Settings" and "Step Value Settings" to modify the step value of the Hotend 2 extruder motor.
Enter the "Motor setting" "Motor direction setting" to modify the direction of the Hotend 2 extruder motor.
